The standout calls
- Real Madrid 2-1 Inter (Champions League) — Home Win, Over 2.5, BTTS Yes, correct score 2-1. We called every marker, right down to the exact scoreline.
- Levante 2-4 Barcelona (La Liga) — We had Barcelona to win away, Over 2.5, BTTS Yes, 1-4. Final score came in 2-4 — same shape, same result, missing the exact score by a single goal at Levante’s end.
- Napoli 0-1 Arsenal (Champions League) — Arsenal to win away, Under 2.5, BTTS No, 0-2 was the call. Arsenal won 0-1 — right winner, right clean sheet for Arsenal’s defence, right shutout story.
- Real Madrid 4-1 Rayo Vallecano (La Liga) — Home Win, Over 2.5, BTTS Yes, 3-1 on the card. Real Madrid won 4-1 — winner, goals total and BTTS all correct, scoreline close behind.
- Milford FC 5-1 Richards Bay (Betway Premiership) — We backed a Milford home win, Over 2.5, BTTS Yes, 2-1. They won 5-1 — even more one-sided than we expected, but the whole logic of the pick held up.
- Manchester United 0-1 Manchester City (EPL) — In the biggest fixture of the round, we backed City to win at Old Trafford, and they did, extending their unbeaten start to the season.
A mixed week for the accumulators
Each of the three multi-fold accumulators we suggested this round was broken by exactly one leg — Liverpool’s goalless draw with Fulham cost the Premier League acca, Athletic Club’s draw with Elche cost the La Liga one, and Mamelodi Sundowns dropping points at Chippa United cost the Betway Premiership one. Two winning legs out of three each time — close, but a reminder of why accumulators are the highest-risk market on the card.
