The Springboks are South Africa’s national men’s rugby union team, and in 2026 their Test calendar is built around the new Nations Championship. This guide brings together the Springbok fixtures for 2026, the results so far, the current Southern Hemisphere table, where the team plays at home, and how to follow and bet on Springbok matches responsibly. Fixtures, results and standings were checked against the official SA Rugby match centre, the Nations Championship page and World Rugby on 16 October 2026.

Springboks at a glance

  • Team: Springboks, the South African men’s national rugby union team
  • World ranking: 1st on the SA Rugby website, with 93.09 points (16 October 2026)
  • 2026 competition: the inaugural Nations Championship, with three rounds in July, three in November and a Finals Weekend at Twickenham
  • Nations Championship record: played 3, won 3, with 130 points scored and 49 conceded
  • Next Test: Italy v Springboks, Saturday 7 November 2026, Allianz Stadium, Turin, 13:40 SAST
  • Rugby World Cup: four-time winners, in 1995, 2007, 2019 and 2023

How the Springboks have started 2026

The Springboks opened the Nations Championship at Ellis Park on 4 July 2026 with a 45–21 win over England. A week later they beat Scotland 42–28 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, and they completed a perfect July by beating Wales 43–0 at Hollywoodbets Kings Park in Durban on 18 July.

Across the three matches the Springboks scored 130 points and conceded 49, a points difference of +81. That puts them top of the Southern Hemisphere table on 15 points, level with New Zealand, who have a +51 points difference.

Springbok fixtures 2026: Nations Championship results and upcoming Tests

The table below lists the Springboks’ six Nations Championship matches. Kick-off times for the November Tests are shown in South African time (SAST) and come from the SA Rugby and World Rugby fixture listings. Dates and times can change, so confirm them on the official site before you plan a match day.

Nations Championship table and Finals Weekend

Here is the Southern Hemisphere table after the July round, as shown on the SA Rugby website on 16 October 2026:

PositionTeamPlayedWonPoints differencePoints
1Springboks33+8115
2New Zealand33+5115
3Australia31+298
4Argentina31-27
5Japan31-264
6Fiji30-960

After the six rounds, each hemisphere is ranked from first to sixth. At the Finals Weekend at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, the teams that finish in the same position play each other, with sixth playing sixth and so on up to a Grand Final between the top Southern Hemisphere side and the top Northern Hemisphere side. That means every result in the November window matters for the Springboks’ final position.

In the Northern Hemisphere table, France lead on 12 points, followed by Scotland on 11, with England and Ireland on 10 each. Italy have lost all three of their matches so far. The Springboks play Italy, France and Ireland in November, and all three Tests are away from home.

Where the Springboks play at home

The three July Tests were played at three different South African grounds: Ellis Park in Johannesburg, Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria and Hollywoodbets Kings Park in Durban. Ellis Park is the home of the 10bet Lions and hosted the 1995 Rugby World Cup final. Read our Ellis Park guide for its history and capacity, and our 10bet Lions guide for the club side that plays there each week.

Springbok squad and team news

The Springbok coaching staff name a squad for each Test window and a match-day 23 for every game, and team news normally arrives in the days before kick-off. For the official squad, check the SA Rugby website. Late injuries and changes to the match-day 23 can affect the betting markets, so it is worth looking at the team list before you place a bet.

Betting on Springboks matches

Springboks Tests are normally on the board at the 10bet sportsbook while the competition is running, and you can see what is currently available on our rugby betting page. New to rugby betting? Start with our beginner’s guide to betting on rugby. These are the markets you will see most often on Test matches, though availability varies from match to match:

  • Match result: back the Springboks, their opponent or a draw. Draws are rare in rugby but they do happen.
  • Handicap: one side starts with a points head start or deficit, which evens out a match between a favourite and an outsider.
  • Total points: bet on whether the combined score finishes over or under a set number.
  • Outrights: a bet on a whole competition, such as the Nations Championship, when the market is offered.

All bets are placed at fixed odds, so the price you accept on your betting slip is the price you get. Check the current 10bet offers and their terms before you take one up.

Bet responsibly. You must be 18 or older to bet, only bet what you can afford to lose, and set limits before you start. If you need support, visit our Responsible Gambling page. Edcobrite (Pty) Ltd is licensed and regulated by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator.
